Leadership And Stewardship

Prior to funding specific agricultural projects, the Wakiso Hope Project receives a budget from our Ugandan partners that outlines the quantity of materials needed and the associated cost. Our partners in Uganda estimate the yield of the harvest and collectively, the project scope is agreed upon.

After each harvest, the Wakiso Hope Project receives a financial accounting of all of the expenditures, their cost and the overall bank balance. Additionally, we receive an itemized statement on the yield of each of the crops. If the crops are sold, the monies are used to sponsor students to attend the school. The Wakiso Hope Project receives a list of names, ages and levels of the students who received tuition relief as a result of the Wakiso Hope Project agricultural projects.

In this way, the Wakiso Hope Project ensures that all of the funds are tracked and yielding the greatest impact upon the children. Additionally, a system of financial accountability has been instituted to be shared among the Ugandan partners so that they can benefit from it for generations yet to come.
